The next morning I woke up laying down on the ground, looking at the skies seeing the beautiful stars and space itself it amazed me, and I turned to my right and see that Vicky is asleep on my arms I guess she rolled by herself.
It was an amazing feeling last night, she kissed me on the cheeks and we held each other, and I gave her the necklace she was very tired, but she enjoyed the little gift I gave her from the old farmhouse, the story of hers, is still on my mind, and her story made me feel sad and my emotions are still intact and my body, may be robotic, but I don’t know why I’m feeling this.
I need to find more answers about me, but yesterday was a wild experience our journey here to destroy the obelisk, and saving my friends from this nightmare and the people were discovered by Cliff, I guess I called luck… I guess? And something else made me irritated was that possessed man, that creeped me out and I ripped his throat apart and now I know who is behind this catastrophe “Tolkar”. A deity was mentioned in that room but Roxy destroyed it, I need to find more answers about this thing… and myself as well, suddenly my thoughts were interrupted, I noticed from my right she woke up, yawning, and said “Good Morning, Red”. She smiled, I replied to her answer “Good morning Victoria”.
I move to her side as I put my arm around her and she looked down at her chest where the necklace, she started playing with and her mood is very different, smiled and as she glance at me with a nice smile, and we looked at the view in the morning which was a nice view.
We can see the town from here, where I found the best spot, last night as I came up here to think and be quiet but my intention were interrupted by Vicky where she followed me to keep company and I have to say it was one of the best moments in my life. Apart from the fight we had down there a fight against evil and she is right here next to me I have to know her more when the time is right.
It’s beautiful morning I have to say, the mood changed when we stopped the horror of this place. As my thoughts changed I stood up in a good mood and I helped Vicky stand up and she has no jacket on, as I bend down to pick up her jacket, she stretched her body she is really attractive and she tied her hair then I gave her jacket to her I said “You’re ready Victoria”.
She inhaled and smiled at the view, then she looked at me she said “Ready when you are” she said. “Alright, Then”. I led the way to go back to the town, it’s not far from the best spot to the town, as we were walking I love the nature in the forest, It’s amazing that this forest is not covered by hideous things and unspeakable, disturbing sight it seems like It’s gone when we stopped the obelisk on this area.
Suddenly my thoughts stopped as I hear her voice humming to the same song from yesterday, as I turn my back to see her, she was looking at the trees and her surroundings. But I focus on the path to town, we arrived everyone saw us as we walked from the forest one of them said “Good morning, there” I replied to that and I waved and Vicky smiled and she said the same thing, we noticed the three are on our right and I can see from their expression, I must say their expression was Priceless when they saw me with Vicky and she blushed and giggled a bit.
I saw Roxy being childish “Oh good gracious, you two are so cute”. And she noticed the necklace on her neck and she gasp she looked at me and I gave an expression to her I said “Yep... I got her that, Roxy” and she approached me and tap me on the chest.
Gave a funny look, honestly I’ve never seen her like this apart from last night and back in the artefact room her mood changed. What a great morning to start the gang teasing me with good intention and it felt good honestly.
But I was cool about it and let it go, the people are so happy seeing us the five of us, I looked at our surroundings people are active and training and building the houses and buildings and I asked to the three “What did I missed guys?” Dave replied to my question “Well Most of the houses are fixed and some buildings are still intact but the damage can be fixed and we manage to burn the bodies completely”. He said
I said “That’s great and the gates, we manage to rebuild with the people and I told them celebrate their little fun last night while I took over and complete it” the group I asked Roxy “Alright Roxy what about you?” She nodded, exclaimed as she is about to speak “Well I secured the town with magic, a protective spell and the entire area, when everyone was asleep Cliff was with me when I was doing it”. She looked at Cliff and He nodded at her and gave a thumbs up to her.
I said “Alright great job everyone, Vicky I know you help the people last night and the gate is very stable and reinforced I had to do that myself and told the people to celebrate, and this town is very much protected from evil and the people has weapons now so they can defend their home and families also I guess Dave and Vicky here.
As we part ways to do some task around the town to help a lot of people here. I walked with Vicky and I noticed Cliff and Roxy together walking away, which is interesting I asked Vicky “How long were you guys sticking together? I before came along this adventure?”
She looked at Dave, Cliff, Roxy, as I’m walking with her, she explained to me of how she met the three, we sat down on the bench, where I sat down yesterday with the kid, “Well I was the first one out of five, I was nothing after that, whole incident with my old clan, Phoenix took me in with him and he observe me already from that night he found me where I ran away from my old clan”. As she was telling me I listened very carefully to her story. “He trained me after I recovered form that night, and I got my revenge on the person who killed her”. She stopped there as she scoff about it and didn’t want to think about too much, then she changed the topic to the three members of the group.
“I was surprised when I saw Dave he didn’t say anything after he recovered he’s very mysterious, but now he seemed very different ever since you joined this group, and Cliff was something back then, Roxy was different from Us, at first our connection wasn’t great, until one day we grew fond with each after a fight with a creature and we became friends, and Phoenix is always there he’s like a father to us but to you he succeed in making you he told us to protect you for the whole years. And right there when you’re with Phoenix that’s when things changed the three didn’t like it but when I was there, I had these strange feelings towards you and… Well you know now”.
As she ended her story how they met it was interesting, but I understand it now, but I didn’t say anything and I was surprised by what she said to me that she has feelings for me but she said “I hope you’re not bothered by that Red, they really like you and Phoenix, told us that in the first place while protecting you”.
I nodded at her and held her hand as I looked at the necklace and she noticed my gaze at the necklace between her chest, we looked at each other she gave a quick smile.
This whole morning was interesting people were in a good mood, it seems like they are operating the town again, and I hope there won’t be Evil going through here, thanks to Roxy with her magic protecting this town now, as Vicky let go of my hand we part ways after that conversation she looked back at me, and gave a quick smile, but to me it wasn’t over I want to know more about her and the thought of her story still interest me.
But I digress, I stood up from the bench and just looked around the town and I see that Dave is training the people on the field with Cliff, on how to fight hand to hand Combat I approached to him, he saw him in his excitement, his expression in amaze “It’s great to see you here Blaze”. He shake my hand as he smiled it was genuine honestly, and he kept his promise about training me, but I didn’t want to so I just watched him trained the good people fight and I see that Cliff is training the other people on the other side of the filed, how to use swords, I must say he’s very good in day time people were tired from falling, taking hits but I didn’t want to be trained by Dave on front of the people, I want it to be private so I can remember all the steps, while I’m thinking about it now, I did pretty okay last night since it was my first adventure. My thoughts slowly vanished as I hear the grunting, and swords hitting each other.
I moved to another place and saw some colourful lights, I was curious what that was, I walked fast to see it, it was Roxy using magic with her wand, as she was blasting that wall, I interrupted her and she stopped she said “Hey Blaze good to see you” with a nice voice she has, I just watched her do it as I was thinking of what to say to her, about her magic, and that make up of hers is quite unbelievable, and yet strikingly awesome, and she suddenly stopped as I was just standing there leaning against wet wall, she was just taking a break from her exercise, she just sat down drinking the rum I found in the old farmhouse. I started to talk her, “I must say Roxy, It’s really spectacular what you’re doing, putting it in a good use on your magic, I saw you last night killing those bastards with that spell you spoke, where did you learn that by the way?” I asked her, she finished taking a sip of her drink, then she turn to me to answer my question, then she looked at me with a small smile under that make up of hers “Well Blaze it’s quite interesting you ask me that, since you want to get to know us, I was the last one to join since Phoenix said that right on front of us, but anyway he taught me how to recite these spells from a book that Phoenix taught me to understand it carefully, and getting used to it and dark ones as well but I stopped using that it scared me”.
When she said that I’m very curious what she is telling me about this. I asked her “What is that you call Dark ones?” Her expression was like, she didn’t want to answer that, I’m guessing something wasn’t right. She said “Sorry I can’t answer that, I just… don’t want to remember that, this was before our first adventure from saving my friends, that’s when I stopped using it, it terrified me to death… I should’ve listen to Phoenix in the first place”.
She leaned forward to cover her eyes, as she was rubbing the, gasping releasing her tension, I sat there thinking about what she was telling she did her best to save her friends with a spell that almost destroyed her, I said “Hey It’s okay Roxy”.
In a clam voice and being friendly to her and tapping her shoulder “You had no choice but to save your friends Roxy and you made the hardest decision in your life that almost killed you but here you are” she Exhaled, while her hands are together while looking at the wall she made use of, it was pretty much messed up, but I just Ignored that and went back looking at her she spoke “You’re Right about that I care about my friends”.
She let out a little laugh a relief I would say about my point on her situation then she said “And Cliff as well I was scared of losing him, last night made me worried and scared when I saw that Cliff was fighting the beast on his own and almost died until I saved him I stabbed the fucker right behind the beast with his sword”.
She closed her eyes, I noticed she was nervous her legs moving, she lean back on the wet wall behind her and she said “You know something Blaze, I was impressed what you did last night, but there is a lot you have to learn and Phoenix was right about you, Blaze you’re alright on my book” metaphorically speaking as she pointed her finger to me In a funny way, she was weird and I find her interesting.
After that little conversation, she smiled at me and gave a fist bump, and gathered her things then she said “It’s nice to talk to you, I’m going to look for cliff now”.
As she walked away, she stopped and turn to me she said “Nice necklace you gave her by the way, Vicky seems to enjoy the present you gave her Blaze” I felt some relief when she said that to me and nodded at her, a thought came to mind about her magic what is that dark ones? She wasn’t able to tell me, but I guess I’ll find that out soon, and I stood up and glance at the wall she destroyed for a second then left that sight, I hear Dave and Cliff still teaching the people, I went to look for Vicky in the town.
So I just walked around and observe my surroundings while the people are walking around, just doing their jobs, operating this small town, a lot of ideas are flowing through my head about this place should we stay, just to see what happens next? But we have other places to explore and try to save this world, but this is my first experience, but I just don’t want to live it like this unprepared, I stopped at the front of an abandoned building as I looked up what it is but it doesn’t say anything, while everyone is busy I break the door down the light filled the inside, from the door way casting my shadow from my view, I quickly looked both ways to see my surroundings, everything inside is abandoned, furniture damaged, this place is in dross, as I walked around to check the entire interior it’s pretty much abandoned I continued to check the back which where it’s a stock room for items but it’s not in a good condition, which gave me an idea what to do here in this place.
And I quickly left the stock room and went back to the front bar, and checked the bar taps but it’s all warn out and not fully functioning since it’s old and but the power in this place is working except the bar taps, I heard someone came in “A the famous bar in Solaris and you broke the door I see” as I turned it was one of the people who live in this town, which he calls it “Solaris” and I’m guessing this town is called Solaris then… great name for this town. I walked to him “This town is called Solaris?” as I asked him then he just nodded and smiled, which I nod back and tap him on the shoulder and I told him “I’m going to need your help on this one, what’s your name by the way”.
He stepped back and greeted me with “My name is Noake, please to meet you… Mr.” I respond to his question I wonder why he did that, why he stepped back but I just shook it off “Um, My name is Atomic Blaze and sorry about the door”.
He just scoff it off and smirked, we shook hands, and we discussed about this place, he sounds very excited to get this place running and operating again so people can ease up here.
“Well Mr. Blaze if you want to restore this place you should get more supplies and other resources for this establishment, well since you brought rum, people will love this place and thank you for saving our town Solaris from those evil people that took over and destroyed this town”.
He does give a good point and about saving this town, I told him goodbye and I left to look for Vicky and there she is just helping people, she looks stunning, while her hair is tied she looks very busy since I told my friends to do their jobs, and she saw me and smiled, she just dropped the crate on the ground and ran and hugged me, I was surprised about it and I enjoyed everything about it, she said “Hi Red” I hugged her and pull her away a little bit, he face changed to a little frown and “Is there something wrong?, Red” she said, as I was about to explain to her about the one particular building I was just in but I couldn’t so I just told her “Come with me Victoria I have something to show you, on the way”, I said in A thrilled way.
I grabbed her hand as we started walking together, we stand right on front of the abandon building and in confusion she said to me “Well… This place looks like a dump blaze, why are happy about this?” As she said that I just laughed at her question, and said to her “Well Vicky, we can turn this building into a bar, for people to relax and celebrate and make this place lively again, and for us to have fun”. As I said that to her, I grabbed her hands and, as I pulled her towards me and I said to her in soft voice “This is what you wanted right, having fun with me” as I said that to her she looked cute when we looked at each other like that, I let her go and I said “We should stay here for a while Vicky with our friends just to make sure that this town won’t be attacked again by those bastards, and expand this place”.
When I said that to her, her face changed to confusion to stun with my words and then she just smiled at me and nodded.
“That would be great Red, spend some time here with the people and train you as well and get to know you more and such” and I stepped back and held her hand and I felt honoured when she said that, and she looked at her necklace I gave her and played with it which made me felt delight “We’ll tell the others later okay Victoria” as I said that she kissed me in the cheeks, and then she said “Okay Red, later we’ll tell the others”.
As I let go of her hand, she started walking away smiling and spin around to see me and looked at the building she said “The Whispering Queen” she said and I looked up at the old sign and look back at her from what she said “The Whispering Queen that should be the name of this place”. She walked away while smiling and went back to help the other people
She smiled, and I looked at the building and put my hands on my hips and scanned the building, and walked, The Whispering Queen, not a bad name I like it, now that’s on the works, I should look for more materials to get this going, but first I need to tell my friends about staying here and protecting this place, I journeyed back to my friends and I found Dave just cleaning his Battle Axe and his dagger on the table on the training grounds, I walked towards him while he was busy and focusing on cleaning his weapons, he saw me and stood up and smiled a bit “I see you’re taking a break Dave where’s everyone gone too?” I said.
He looked around and looked back at me “Well I told them to take a break and rest since they are getting better at it I missed training people in order to fight and become better at what they’re doing”. I stood there and just listened and those words of his surprised me and I agree with him since they got overrun by these possessed people they need to be trained to protect themselves and their families.
He looked at me and put his hand on my shoulder and said “What do you say, Blaze want me to train you properly?” I looked at him and I nodded at his question, well since it’s my first adventure with my new friends I guess this isn’t bad after all, we stood on the middle of the field and he said “Be aware of your enemy Blaze, make sure you don’t get overtaken, always move fast understand”.
I prepared myself in a position on what’s coming and looked at me with a sarcastic look, that he’ll have some fun with kicking my ass and then he moved fast and heavy knocking me down on my knee as I blocked his attack, which surprised me and swung my sword blocking his attacks on hitting me and he backed off as I move forward and knocking him down, I pointed my sword at his throat while I scanned his look, he looked at me with fear, amazement at the same time, he just smirked and scoff at what I just did to him but then he said “You forgot one more thing, don’t too carried away blaze”.
And kicked me sending flying back hard dropped my sword a bit further from me at my right and he got up and cracked his neck and knuckles and ran fast to me with his look that’s so savage, he’s having fun with this, which I’m starting to enjoy this I rolled over my sword on the ground, crouching aiming my sword at him he’s on the position he’s like an animal but this is fun, I strike at him first and he blocked my moves, but I manage to strike him again, getting the upper hand, I swung my blade and he dodge, we both grunt, and he started sweating and we stopped first catching his breath and he took off his armour, I can see from his expression he’s boiling, to my surprise his arms are really in bad shape so much scars, but they are fully healed but the scars are still there. Then I took off my jacket and threw it on the ground, we stared at each other for a minute then he said “You’re good Blaze I like that, you’re in control, control your feeling and mind in any situation, but always focus, understand”.
He pointed his finger at me, I nodded at him and he’s ready for another round, as I ready myself heard walking on my left and I see Vicky, Cliff, Roxy, together sat down on the bench watching us and I noticed she was watching me and she just gave a quick smile and she scanned me and winked at me, then I hear a quick movement from Dave swung his Axe, and I quickly dodged his attack and I hear the three cheering, then I hear Vicky “Go Red! You got this, yeah!”
I scoff and pant, grunt his attacks are fast and heavy I block his move and then I roll to get away from him, his eyes are placed on me then he dropped his Axe and put his fist up, and I saw him turned into a vicious combatant, I stood there in terror he looks different, a spirit just emerge from his original form, so as his voice changed into deeper, darker, angrier tone “Another round Blaze?” he said to me he position himself at this point I’m in terror to face him but I shake off that coward thought.
I said “Alright, let’s go” and the three are watching and Vicky is feeling tense she really wants me to win this one and the two are watching and cheering who’ll win this one?
And then he ran fast heavy I dropped my sword, started fighting him in every way he punched me hard this time it’s different which is not fun anymore but at same time I’m getting used to it, and then I fought back hard with everything I got and I slide and got back up, and then I started kicking him, and grabbed him by the collar and punched him few times until he got my fist and then, he smirked and strike me so hard, I was left in dazed my world slowed down and my vision was blurred but I was still standing while Dave is holding me on my shirt collar, I saw the incoming fist getting closer and then I hit the ground so hard, he punched the day lights out of me I stayed down.
All I see was the skies I admire so much, until I hear an encouraging voice to my right “COME ON”, “GET UP”, “GET UP BLAZE”, “GET UP RED”. Said the three on the bench watching me but all I hear is echoes of voices to my right very faint but it got louder, then I sat up gasping looking at Dave with a look with rage as he stared back at me with the same look but then I said to him “You told me not to get carried away, but it seem you got carried away Dave”.
He smirked and rolled up his sleeves, as I got up putting my fist up positioning myself waiting for his attacks, then he walked fast, he started throwing punches at me but I’m dodging his attacks I’m calm in this fight with him but he’s getting angrier.
Then I grabbed his fist and slam him down hard then I raised my fist, his eyes widen and covered his face “Stop, Stop it, Blaze” Said by Dave his spirit form disappeared he became, his normal self his facial expression were absolutely terrified shifted to smirk and it turns out, it was a test, Dave you son of a bitch, tricky bastard but I like him for what he did, I let go of him and he stood up and raised his right hand extending forward to shake my hand, then we shook hands “I didn’t expect you would be this good, but how, you just woke up and you seem to remember what you’re doing, but how?” I honestly I don’t know what to say to him and that I didn’t realized but last night I was just doing what I had to do, I guessed I just figured out something in me I would say Instinct…? But there is more to myself I’m slowly discovering myself ever since I was in the army and here I’m just instantly I know to fight like that. “Well to tell you Dave, I have no clue”.
As I said to him he just nodded, in confusion, surprised his expressions are all over and the three stood up and walked towards us and Vicky ran towards me she said to me “Are you Okay Red?” I stroke her pretty red hair “I’m fine Victoria” she smiled and hugged me and letting go of me and she looked at Dave with a serious one and he just shake his head then she left, Cliff and Roxy just started at us and Cliff Said “That was intense, that’s Impossible Blaze you manage to fight Dave’s powerful spirit form”.
His eyes are wide and in disbelief he was just stunned by the fact I just fought him but he’s very good in my view, Dave is very handy, he knows how to fight. Roxy just crossed her arms and then she just scanned me with her eyes and just nodded and left with cliff and I stood there with Dave he just said “I’m Impressed with you Blaze, Phoenix was right about you, you’re right for this team, but there is more you have to learn which this time it’ll not just be me who’ll train you, it’s all of us”.
He gave a quick smile and tapped me in the shoulders and picked up his gear and walked away from me, I heard him stopped and he said “I’m sorry about that Blaze I went too far about the training, it was supposed to be a normal training but things escalated quickly” I turned to him I said “It’s alright Dave I understand what you’re saying but this was fun in my opinion you got me very good and we should train again one day”.
He laughed a little and we said our goodbyes he left the training grounds and stood there, standing on the open fields of the training grounds just thinking of what they said, while there’s a cold winds approaching I see the grass waving back and forth as I watched nature do its business and the view on the skies and questioning to myself and just thinking how did I do that? I manage to overcome Dave’s attacks at the end, but what I learned here today is his guidance through fighting and being strong no matter what.
I really need to find the right answers about myself, but I must tell my friends about staying and making this place secure more.
I never noticed that it’s not day time anymore, the sun came down a sunset I must say just looking at the great beyond, looking at the skies seeing through space just looking out there I see a constellation of stars is beyond my comprehension, as I sat down on top of the table looking and wondering while I hear the thunder and lightning roaring on the distance, I stood up picked up my jacket and my sword put it back in my scabbard, as I looked at my scabbard seeing that quote “The kingdom of salvation take me home”. It intrigued me just by thinking about it probably it’s my goal to save everyone.
But time will tell, I shake off the idea I stood up looking for my friends to tell the news its night time, and the people are just gathering around preparing for a feast. I just walked pass them as I wave at them and I asked one of the people where my friends are? One of them pointed to a small building with a built balcony with stairs overlooking the street and I opened the door and seeing my friends just sitting down talking to each other, suddenly they stopped when they hear me approaching they turn their heads, just smiling and happy to see me and I said “Hey guys” as Dave said “Hey friend, how’re feeling?” I nodded and told him “I’m fine”.
He smiled at me, as for Vicky she said “Hey Red” giving me a quick smile, Cliff and Roxy said “Hey Blaze, it’s good to see you friend”, said Cliff “Yeah same here” Said Roxy, I put my hands In my jacket pockets as I was about to tell them the news “Thank you for being here everyone, and thank you for excepting me for being a part of this group and fighting evil along your side, but that’s not I want to say there is more, I have mentioned something to Victoria around this afternoon in which, she approved my decision”. Their looks were in confusion, as I looked at them and looking at her.
As I extend my hand pointing at her as she nodded, the three just listened and they were waiting what I’m going to say then “We’re going to stay here for a while, build things make this place stable”. When I brought the news, they were thinking about it, Dave is scratching his beard, and pull his hair back, and Roxy just tapped the table and Cliff just leaned back on the chair, they were having doubt about my decision but except Vicky she likes my plan then I said “Well if you...” I was interrupted by Vicky and she said “Come on guys, he’s right you know, we need to protect these people we can have some fresh air and interact with more people and find more people and bring them here and make this as their home, our home as well”.
I just nodded at her and I appreciate her support on my decision and their expression changed to excepting my option “Well I don’t see any reason what should we do out there and we did save this town” said Dave “And I found those people as well and we freed them form their cages” Said Cliff, I looked at him and I agree with his statement, “I must say I cleared that ranched place where they were preparing for sacrifice on these poor people, I’m happy to always help and I manage to place magic around the perimeter and making this place safe” I hold Roxy’s Shoulder and let go of her shoulder I said “I guess that’s final we are staying here and making sure everything and everyone is safe” everyone agreed. I said “Now will you excuse me I have to step out for a while”.
After what I said to the others about my decision I was nervous but I manage to get it out of my chest but thanks to Vicky she stepped in, what can I do without her? I’m starting to grow feelings towards her but how I’m I feeling this, I still need to find answers but not right now, I need to focus on the main situation, suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a hug that came from behind as I felt her body hugging me from behind as she is caressing behind me and I just rubbed my nasal nose and sigh, then I turned around and looking at Vicky straight in her red eyes, and I said “Thank you Victoria, for having my back” she gave a slight smile to me and stroke my red hair going down to my face and stroking my cheek and I held her hand while her hand is on my face she said “You’re welcome Red”, I felt some warmth from her hand, all I still remember the day I was alive but now here I’m in the new world filled with madness, horror, and new adventures with my new friends.
But when she is with me I feel different and I let her came forward to me and she kissed me on the cheek which it felt really nice her lips pressing on my cheek, I felt calm from her, she stepped back and looked at me and she giggled and I just scanned her with a confused look as I just laughed a little “What’s so funny Vicky?” as I said to her and she covered her laugh with her hand, and nodded “Nothing Red… I’ve just known for a day, and here I’m getting to know you and having feelings for you” when she said that she bit her lip, and we looked at each other and she confessed she feelings for me, and I said “I’m really charmed by your presence Victoria” she stared at the ground smiling and looking back at me when I said that to her, and I laid her hair back and robbing her cheek gently, just seeing her expression, I felt a glow inside me, I pulled her towards me, I just hugged her we held each other.
“I’ll not let you go and we’ll stop this together no matter what”. As I said that I felt her hand tighten around me and she said “I trust you with all my life Red, no matter what”.
We just held each other and then I saw the three walked out the building where we just had a discussion about staying here, I let go of her gently and I said “Get some rest Victoria” she smiled at me and then I stroked her cheek and letting go of my hand, I saw Dave approaching me with a puzzled look while stroking his beard, “Hey Blaze, what’s the plan” Dave said to me and I was having some Ideas on what am I going to do here “First of all, you guys get some rest, the three of you but I’ll tell you this that one of you guys will stay here, and guard this place that’s for now okay Dave”.
As I said that to him he just nodded and we shook hands he walked off with Cliff and Roxy and he stopped on his tracks and told me “Oh Hey, I forgot to mention this to you, that we have our place it’s just a few blocks from here, it’s temporary” Dave said, I nodded and gave a thumbs up “Okay got it, Vicky is there right?” He smiled and nodded, then they left proceed to walk to that house they lend us, I just leaned forward on the railing, and its quiet the lights are on there are some people walking around and talking, but most of them are sleeping in their homes, just admiring this place makes me feel like we can start over and I noticed some of them learned some moves while walking and admiring the lesson that Dave and Cliff thought these people, but I was suddenly interrupted by a presence on my right.
“Well done Blaze for saving Solaris, and the four are starting to like you, and Victoria well… she admire you, you know that” I lean back off the railing and letting it go, to my surprise its Doctor Phoenix his look was he looks pleased, still wearing that white suit it was nice seeing him again unexpectedly instead of a shake, we hugged each other and letting go of him, I said “I did not expect you to be here Doc out of thin air” he took it as joke and laughed a little, then he said “I’m happy to hear that you guys are getting along, Blaze and you manage to take over town and sort out this mess, what are your plans by the way?” As he said that I looked at him, he’s looking proud, “I... Well just want to restore this town, and make it great not just this everywhere, and stop them for good make things go normal” as he scoffs to my idea but he agrees with my words, “One at a time Blaze, One at a time, although there is more out there that you have to fight with your friends, then there will be consequences that you have deal with when it comes, are you up for it?” I grabbed the railing and looked down and thinking of what he saying I sigh “I don’t know… That’s what I’m worried about Doc, their lives and mine, who knows what time can tell Doc right.”
He stood there thinking about what I said, and said nothing for a few seconds trying to come up with the right words to say to me, then said “Indeed Blaze, I agree on that, and you just started being part of us take it easy Blaze alright you have a lot to learn on your journey” he put his hand on my right shoulder trying to comfort me, I understand what he’s saying I have to take things slow but I have to sort them out and figure out, then I asked him something “Hey Doc, I have a question to ask how am I feeling something, if I’m like this, in this body that you put me in.” he let go of me and lean back and it felt like he dodge my question and he doesn’t want to answer but he said “Another time Blaze, not now, I’ll let you know in the right time” I stood up and looking at him as he straighten his suit and gave a slight smirk to me and I didn’t protest to his words I just put my hands on my pockets and clench into a fist but I calm down, he won’t tell me here and now the hell everyone here is just trying not to tell me forget this I’ll figure it out something I just stared at him and snap me out of my thoughts. “The reason I’m here Atomic Blaze is this.”
He hands me a map, of where all these Obelisk are located, I took it from his hand and examine it and read it carefully, I noticed one is scratched out of the map, which means, it’s Solaris on the map, to my surprise there are four left around the world, this is insane to me how many are left in order to restore this world. While I was looking he gave me something else, extra dose for my powers, I took it and put it in my jacket pocket, and I folded the map and put it in my pocket, I nodded at him “What should I tell them Doc?” He was thinking of something then, he switched back to reality and smiled a little “Tell them that you’re going for another hunt tomorrow, and this will take days to travel there to the next objective and be extremely careful Blaze and your friends Understand.” Said Phoenix he exhaled in relief and straighten his suit then I said “Are you alright Doc? You look intense the way I look it”.
I said to Doctor Phoenix then his expression changed from a blank expression to a fake smile I can tell, but I’m Not bothered by it I reckon he has a lot in mind at the moment “I’m fine Blaze, thank you for your concern”.
He tapped me on the arm and he looked around the place it’s still under rough condition but we can manage this place then he said something “To be honest Atomic Blaze, I kind of want to spend some time here If you don’t mind, You know help out the people here using my powers and what not and you get more supplies and materials for the people to properly live here and expand this place, Like you said Blaze, what do you say sounds like a fun deal right?”
I felt happy when he said that to me, and I nodded his offer but that would be nice for him to help “Alright Doc but after this hunt we’ll do it together”. His expression changed to a genuine smile this time and nodded to me and we shake hands “Well this is going to exciting for me to be with you guys, I kind of felt bored being alone and nothing to do and I have a lot of ideas I can help you with”. He said then I said “That would be great Doc, you should stay and I don’t know it can be fun”. He smiled and put his hand on my shoulder and letting go.
Then we part ways as I was about to turn my back on him to say goodbye he said “Hey Blaze that truth you wanted to know, I’ll let you know, I’m not going to promise when I’ll tell you, but it will and, I was right that you are capable for being part of this group we are going to make things better around here”. As he said that I felt confident by his words, then I said “Yeah, Doc you’re right”. Suddenly I hear him go “Oh Blaze the coordinates on the obelisk the map I forgot to give you Here it is” he gave it to me I took it and place it in my pocket. Then suddenly “Oh damn, I forgot to tell you, that hunt I mentioned, you’ll be going to Ascaria like I said it’ll be days to travel understand”.
As I turned my back he’s not there anymore he just vanished into thin air, the night is so quiet and there are no people It appears that they all went to bed, I proceed to walk down the street, to see this temporary place they lend us, I checked the horses on the stable they seem pretty calm and happy for their new home, I left the stable feeling calm just seeing the horses then I closed the stable doors and went on my merry way to see this temporary place, as I reached this place it looked alright temporary but in good condition too.
When I walked inside I can’t shake this weird feeling that there is something watching me from the shadows it spooked me out, like both good and bad presence but I ignored that feeling and I’m preparing for tomorrow, I’ll them the news I looked around the house and just see that Dave is sleeping on the couch and I went upstairs and I walked past both rooms and saw Cliff and Roxy sleeping on separate rooms and I saw the last room I’m aware that Vicky is inside asleep I slowly opened the door, creep myself in set down my stuff on the chair and seeing a single bed I took off my jacket and shoes and went to bed with Vicky.
“Why were you late?” She asked I thought she was asleep, but it doesn’t matter anyway “Oh nothing Vicky I’m just admiring the view outside and the place that’s all, why do you ask?” Still facing the other way while she was talking to me “Hmm… Nothing Red, I was kind of curious that’s all” I put my hands on the back of head interested on what she said “Why are you curious?” I said and I heard her exclaimed and suddenly she sat up brushed her and looked at me as she smiled, I touched her cheek so smooth but then, I told her what I was doing “The reason I was... kind of late was” I couldn’t continue but I pushed myself to say it and Vicky is waiting for my response I finally completed my sentence “Phoenix dropped by out of nowhere and he told me, that there are four left of these obelisk around the world which I’m super surprised about it, and he gave me a map and one is scratched out”.
Then she cut me off “This place right?” she said and I looked at her and nodded then I continued “Yeah Solaris the name of this place which I just found out when I was outside that abandoned building, then I’ve come to the conclusion that we are going for a hunt tomorrow” I looked at her, it appears that, I would guess she was just thinking of what I’m saying then, she said “This is very interesting Red, but it all happened so fast, all of a sudden, Phoenix want’s the other Obelisk destroyed and do you know where is this other one located Red?” I sat up from the bed with her, then I said to her “The second one is located in Ascaria I read in the map it’s a bit far and we’ll travel there”. I said to Vicky her expression she smirked and nodded then “I’ll tell you what the plan is tomorrow okay” she nodded and kissed me on the cheek and we lay down together “Also Victoria, that story you to me about Lady Ambriosia, I’m sorry to hear that, I can tell she was a good person to you”. I said to her she was quiet and then she said “She was more than that, she is like a mother to me I’ll tell you more about it one day but not now”. She ended the conversion right there, but I don’t want to be distracted by this, we have plans tomorrow but she is right maybe one day.
