It’s dark already. She has passed asleep, her arms wrapped around me like I'm some kind of stuffed toy. It didn't bother me at all.
While I looked at the dark ceiling, I turned to my right seeing her wrapped around me while she’s sleeping. I don't get it.
Why does she like me? I sigh, to the Idea but I find her beautiful. I wonder what she looked like before when she was human. She told me only half of her story, her clan, and this Lady Ambriosia who took care of her.
I slowly removed her arm, and got out of bed. She looks peaceful while sleeping, and I quickly put on a shirt, and left the room quietly. The halls are dark but there are still some lights down the hall. And the moonlight passed through the window.
I went to the garden and there were some lights dim, keeping the plants alive.
As I’m outside to clear my head filled with thoughts that’s bringing me down and feeling useless, I should start to think right here and right now, while I'm sitting down on the bench while looking at a variety of flowers and plants what caught my eye was these poppies how beautiful they are just sitting there I felt some relief just by staring at them, I guess Phoenix really likes flowers gotta give him that.
I quickly turn away to look at the night skies they did a number on this world, my thoughts are roaming around like crazy. I feel like a nobody now I'm just A… all of a sudden things went quiet. Like it stopped in motion, I looked back, I jolted, I felt scared there it was again!
The figure standing there my eyes widened in fear, it shushed me. I blacked out completely… I opened my eyes and I'm in an empty space again. I looked around in fear this time it’s not taunting me I just wondered endlessly.
This place is giving me the creeps. A nightmare of sorts, I cannot wake up, I'm all alone here, then I heard something like a screech and something moving fast. I quickly turn.
What the hell was that? I have to get out of here, this is not normal, I kept on walking then I walked fast.
This plaine, empty, grey scene gives me the fear of being alone forever, no hopes just empty. What if this is my reward? my death?
I Must fight this, out of nowhere I see a chair that is old and rotten just there I have nowhere in the empty space I walked towards it to see what it is I extended my hand, I spun the chair, quickly stared at this dose, and grabbed it and put in my pocket I looked forward to my right and the chair is gone, I heard a whisper saying my name multiple times I wandered on.
A sound of quick taps around me, it’s taunting me and I’m starting to get pissed off! Right now, I run forward even though there is no direction but I have a feeling that I’m getting close but there is something stopping me from waking up.
All of a sudden something stopped me completely on my tracks I sank quickly, I fell into the abyss hitting the ground so hard I got hurt here, tried to get up I struggled, grunting in pain, there is nothing I can do but get taken into the dark like this I almost want to give up.
But something is telling me not to give up, something is telling me… to keep pushing forward into the dark “Walk blindly into the dark.” I got up limping away. I did what this voice said to me, to encourage me not to give up.
As I did, A raging voice was screaming on the top breaking and anger, I was feeling okay and I got hit in the dark but I kept on pushing, and pushing.
Until I reached my goal but I got out I lied down on the floor in a sigh of relief, I scanned the place still trapped here.
Something here is trying to stop me but I’m not going to let this thing Stop me! I kept on wandering endlessly again and again.
This must be some trick and I quickly realized this is something I have to face, maybe my fate right here to drive them away so I can get out of here.
A nightmare I can’t wake up from but keeping me here to die and take my soul I won’t let that happen to me here No I won’t allow it!
I stood there waiting Until I heard something slippery around me, and tapping sounds A claw and a growl and screech sound. I saw this horrid thing looking at me and while I looked back at it. It’s tall, disgusting, with a lot of arachnid legs and it’s one massive mouth filled with sharp teeth.
These things are my new nightmare and I have to face them, but then I started running away from this creature. Out of nowhere there is this maze, Oh come on give me a break!
I went inside the maze. It doesn't matter where I’m going, I keep on moving forward so I get out of here I feel tight. My inside is slowing me down but I have to fight through it, but I just keep on going to dead ends. I turned back to see where to go?
This Figure is toying with me. I'm not having this! But fuck I’m still scared of this place, then this horrid thing caught me, and slam me on the walls and letting me go I screamed in pain, grunting, I’m on the floor badly injured.
I feel like I want to give up I can’t do this, this torture, A voice inside my head saying “The Darkness is nothing, when you beat it with the brightest star.” The message is cryptic But it made me not want to give up. I struggled to get up but I did.
Maybe this maze has no end it’s trying to torture me and break me here right now, I’m not going to give up and figure this out.
The monster is not here, it went off somewhere else. As I went further and future on the monster caught on right in front of me I thought of something clever and this is my one shot to get out of here, I took the hits from this monster a lot of it at this point.
At this point I didn’t give a damn about this, I kept on getting closer. The bastard grabbed me right where I wanted it to be. I looked at this thing and it screamed at me and growled, and threw me inside its stomach.
As I’m inside it’s stomach I finally killed it with my heat blast from the dose, completely obliterated this thing into smithereens, I got out covered in filth and the maze is gone completely and I hear this horrifying scream filled with anger.
It Looks like I pissed it off. The structure has completely disappeared right in my sight. My power’s have worn off.
This must be the end, this empty space of infinite terror terrifies me, but I feel overwhelmed that it’s over. I was quickly stopped by an unexpected figure in white in a beautiful dress and this female figure, I sank, this familiarity shocked me.
She slowly turned towards me. It felt like I knew this person but my memory is almost forgotten for a long time… she just smiled and extended her Hand I can’t resist her acceptance. I just grabbed her hand, there was no other choice but to keep moving and I just did that.
Locked eyes pulled me to her. I felt comfort but way different, it's more sombre, soft. “I Know who you are.” she whispered.
A bright light blinded me. I looked up at the skies and just stared. I realized I’m on the floor. I slowly got up but I discerned the pain all over my body but that mysterious woman made my fears go away but I still felt some fright in me. But who was she?
Caught by surprise. Eric is looking at me while I’m on the floor. He looked worried and scared. I lift myself from the ground and glare at my surroundings looking around for this figure. It's gone.
I’m out of words, I placed my hand on my face while he’s trying to help get off the ground.
He sat me down on the bench, I wondered how did he get in here?
He started off anyway, “I was sent here by the town nurse for your help?” Eric looks a bit better than last time I saw him, he’s still wearing his sunglasses, and he trimmed his beard.
I’m surprised he’s drinking one whole bottle just because he looks drunk but still able to function. I didn’t want to say anything.
“Thanks Eric.” bent over covering my face, this pain I can’t shake it.
“What happened, Blaze? I saw you were down, you’re out cold?” I was out for I don’t know how long but it doesn’t matter now I sigh, Oh that’s right the nurse asked a favour for Eric to fetch me.
“Wait for me Outside, I'll be fine.” He nodded and went on his way.
It’s still night. As I was about to walk inside I went back to our room. She's still sleeping. I took my boots and closed the door.
I went out with Eric and we walked down the street, “So what’s the problem?” I asked while he took a sip of the bottle, we stopped on our way, he put his on my shoulder, “I…” he hesitated, I scanned him, “The reason I dragged you Out here Blaze is that I want to be part of your team…” This has to be the worst timing but I didn’t say anything to him. I just nodded and then I had the feeling of anger filling up and I clenched my fist.
Then I raised my voice at him, “Are you kidding me!” He stopped looking scared, and I took the bottle from his hand and smashed it on the ground. I don't know why I lashed out at him.
I left him there. I brought him here to save his skin from the other place, and he wasted my time because I haven’t got to know him that well.
Turned my back on him, maybe he’s got something I don’t know about, like what can he do?
Went back to him, he looked down and got hurt by what I did.
“I’m sorry Eric, I didn’t mean to.” Put my hand on his shoulder, it has to be the worst timing for him to ask me about joining I sigh.
“Please I need this… for my family I need to avenge them.” he tilted down covering his face he frowned then turned into sadness. “I’m sorry for wasting your time Blaze.” he started walking away from me.
He was a few metres away from me. It's not my call but he has no one to talk to other than me “Wait! Eric!” Even though I may look like this, no one is bothered by my appearance. He stopped, I walked up to him.
“Alright.” I said, He smiled a bit under that beard of his, and nodded. “I can fight but I can provide some support, anything!” He sounds desperate but I helped him move away from that place.
I hesitated for a second while looking at him. I felt a bit guilty for what I did getting mad at him. “Okay what can you do, it's not my call, but I’ll try to do something for you alright.”
He smiled with his crooked one but he’ll be happy to hear what I’ll offer him, “Alright Blaze, what do you have in mind?”
“I need you to see Dave tomorrow he’ll train you.” That’s a good start for him.
“Training?” He said with one eyebrow raised.
“Yes!” I crossed my arms. While giving him the look which he doesn’t want to train but he has to.
“It’s a good start for you Eric.” I have this feeling he’ll be good at it and maybe lead these people to safety.
“You’re right Blaze I need proper training, and who is this Dave? If you Don’t mind me Asking.” While asking he was scratching his beard and I just chuckled a bit “You’ll see him tomorrow I’ll point out who he is.” He nodded and understood.
“Eric, I’m sorry about your family again I…” he stopped me. “Thank you again I will still avenge them with your help.” He raised his right hand to shake hands with me so I accepted.
He left me standing here on the dark road while he went back to his place. We didn’t say anything afterwards but he seemed to accept my offer.
As I went back to our mansion I went to the garden to clear my thoughts again but this time I feel calm as ever, but first there was one thing left in mind and this was the right time for me to go talk to someone this time I must get to the bottom of this.
This time, questions must be answered.
