Doctor phoenix wheeled me into the room and seeing the others with interesting appearances, they are all dead but they are alive as well, with unique Abilities. I'm thinking to myself, “I wonder if I’ll get something like that”. But how, I was thinking about it and amazed, how amazing they looked, then I saw a certain person in the room that caught my eyes on it’s a vampire girl we looked at each other with an interesting look.
And then looked away from her and focus to see his surroundings.
The room is described with lots of books it almost looks like a library but it has some interesting books on the shelves and a window ceiling with Gothic design and on the middle of that, a big chandelier with lots of lights to brighten the entire room. There are artefacts of the strange, supernatural, weird things. That caught my eyes of interest, and there are tables and chairs in the room but in the middle of the room has chairs in a circle form. So Doctor Phoenix stopped and told everyone “Gather around everyone please sit down”.
And they walk towards in the middle of the room and this vampire girl walks and the others, but she looked at me with a look that sparks interest towards me and doctor phoenix began to speak to others “we are here to talk about our new member of the group and his name is Atomic Blaze, he is going to help us stop this madness and pure evil to restore this world”.
While he was talking, the others were listening to the situation and he is encouraging the others and myself as well.
Then one of them raised their hand and asked a question, phoenix looked and said “Yes cliff”.
He started asking questions he said “How is he able to fight if he’s like that on the wheelchair what roll them over?” Blaze looked a bit smug and took it as a joke and made a comeback towards cliff, he said “yeah at least I’m not the one with a mask to hide my face you golden boy”.
The vampire girl giggled to my joke and the others kind of laugh, and I looked at her to see her smile even though she looks terrifying but I see beauty in her.
And he got up and walked aggressive towards me and put his hands on the wheelchair armrest and looked at me with an angry look but I can see his eyes are different. Then I smirked I said “Relax man, take it easy, Cliff nice to meet you”.
I raise his right hand to shake Cliff, and cliff still staring at me and took his eyes off him. Looked at his hand.
And phoenix beside me looked at cliff and nodded his head and cliff shook my hand, phoenix said “Alright enough of this nonsense, but it’s settled now”.
Phoenix looked at me to see if his ready and said “Are you Ready to be reborn My Son”.
And blaze said “Yeah doc I’m ready”.
Phoenix walks in the middle he started reciting spells and magic and the whole room started shaking, and the others said “This is going to be Fun”.
And I’m a bit worried and afraid. And lots of lights appearing magenta and white lights, I started feeling something is happening to my body and he is screaming in pain phoenix revealing. A fiery flame that shaped like an actual phoenix and I was shocked and yet amazed by what I’m seeing.
I continued to be in pain and seeing the changes on my body giving him a unique look more cleaner look and very cyborg looking and a red Mohawk and his legs are beginning to function properly.
And the others are speechless on what they seeing and phoenix stops the ritual a huge wave blast happened cleared the room.
The room went black completely then suddenly the lights came on and while I’m being on the floor covered in smoke and steam, the others looked at each other, and the room is completely fine nothing is damage and phoenix back to his human form.
And the vampire girl got up from her chair and run towards blaze on the floor, trying to comfort him, and trying to wake him up and suddenly I woke up Gasping and trying to catch his breath his eyes widen looking at his surroundings and seeing Her touching him while she is relief to see him okay and looking at the others and phoenix being casual about it and saluted with a quick one saying “Welcome Back”.
And I was looking at my body seeing the changes and my hands are much better looking, I began to stand up but was in discomfort and the vampire girl helps me.
She said “I got you, I got you you’re okay”. I looked at her with and we smiled at each other, Cliff said “You know Phoenix I’m thinking, I’m starting to see something in him”.
The Odd girl looked at Cliff and she winked at him, the three just sat there with loss of words on what they witnessed.
Meanwhile me and this vampire girl went to the changing room to get some newer clothes while I was trying to recover from what just happened, the vampire girl is looking for something for him to wear,
I started talking to her, I said to her “Thank you”. And she sat me down on the bench and I see something I likes an overcoat that looks so striking to wear, I ask her I said “Hey what about that overcoat.”
And the Girl turned her back and looked at the overcoat that was hanging inside a locker, she said “This one” she gave it to me and some other clothes as well.
And after that she cross her hands and said “Well I’ll leave you to it come out when you’re ready, take your time okay blaze.”
And I said “Will do I’m just going to rest a bit till my legs are fully functional.”
She’s Walking away straight to the door with a little smile even though she’s a vampire but I have a feeling that she felt something there when she carried me to the changing room, like she has this look she gave me when I was in the room with Doc Phoenix but I just can’t shake the that feeling, till now even though I’m a cyborg replaced by this weirdly technology for Forty years ago and thanks to Doc Phoenix giving this newer upgrades but I still have my emotions, and I feel something it’s so bizarre to think about it. I saw a mirror a clean mirror see myself looking much better than last time old, wet, rough look. But now I was more improved and in shape I looked at my new clothes and try it on and see myself in the mirror once again looking more stylish much better even in clothes on, suddenly I acted up snapping his fingers and goes off saying “Oh shit I forgot to ask her name.” face palming himself releasing a slight sigh of a little disappointment but he shakes it off.
Meanwhile back at the artefact room the others are waiting for atomic blaze to show up but only the vampire girl came back as soon they heard her footsteps approaching and she stopped midway inside the artefact room and everyone just looked at her and one of them said “Well, How is our little friend going?”
And she quickly respond to that question she said “Well he’s changing he’ll be here when he’s good to go”.
She proceeds to walk forward and phoenix said “We must have this meeting because this is urgent, it should happen at this second we need him here since he’s part of the team.”
Suddenly one of them spoke and said “Let him be late, let’s proceed with this meeting phoenix”.
Suddenly interrupted sees blaze at the door fully clothed, the other turned their Heads to see him and blaze said “Sorry everyone just gathering myself in the changing room”.
The group in the room were amazed how he looked very sharp looking and very much like a general and the vampire girl was blushing, blaze looked at her expression while blaze gave a small smirk to phoenix. And phoenix said “Finally our new guest has arrived, now let’s continue our meeting here since now he’s okay now are you ready Mr. blaze to be part of this group” blaze didn’t mind it he said “Yes I’m ready”.
Phoenix started talking about the situation that’s happening in this horror of a world phoenix said “Now boys and girls this is your safe heaven created by me once you step out that door this place is not here, but what I’m trying to say is that if anything happens to you no matter what I’ll bring you here safely”.
Everyone is listening to what’s he saying, phoenix pointed his finger at blaze he said “I believe you’ve already met cliff here the one with the golden mask”. They looked at each other. Blaze said “Hmm charming”.
And phoenix pointed at the girl who helped blaze on the floor he said “And there is our lovely vampire girl, her name is Victoria, known as Vicky”.
Blaze looking at each other, blaze said “Nice to meet you Victoria” she replied to Atomic Blaze “it’s a pleasure”.
Putting her hand on her chest and tilt her head forward a little bit to show some respect to one another. Phoenix point to the other member said.
“This one here, he’s name is Azvameth or known as Dave himself so we just call him Dave, Right Azvameth, He said “Yeah Phoenix, Dave will do”. While his arms are crossed and he smirked and looked at his arms and I looked at him and he looked back his face is badly damaged like he’s been through a lot but I want to know more about him… maybe not now I just let go of that thought.
I said “Nice to meet you Dave”. He quickly turned to look at me and he nodded as a greeting form and I nod back.
Phoenix being a gentleman and pointed at the last member of the group saying “Now Blaze this one here is our lovely magic friend her name is Roxy, her face maybe designing.
As I was looking at her face is menacing and she look so cool everyone here has a different personality but like this suddenly my thoughts were cut off by Roxy.
She replied to phoenix “Let’s get this over with now shall we”. Phoenix replied so fast saying “Patience my girl no need to rush now Roxy”.
Blaze looked at her smirking he said to himself “Oh this is something”. He chuckled a little bit at least no one saw what he did.
So phoenix started talking and said “Enough of this introduction”.
After that he starts talking about the situation to the group, about dealing these things that cause this hell on this world, but he mentioned there are people in this world still alive and lots of groups out there for a long time, ever since the “The Dark Entities” unleashed hell on this world, he talks about the madness that went on in this world also he mentioned these evil gods names he said “iljog, Ša‘lech the destroyer, Dar’khem, Tolkar, Av‘iggos and many more”.
After hearing the news about it phoenix has a strategy how to stop them from destroying this world and turning it into dust. And that’s what terrifies me to the core of my body and the group is worried and thinking about doing the right thing like I said before even though they are dead, they have feelings and they care for this world and I’m thinking of saving It from these so called “The Dark Entities”, with my group, and this got me thinking, I wonder if there are people still out there.
Roaming around the world fighting these things who knows. While phoenix is still talking he said “Evil is out there in the world for 40 years, while that was happening I’ve trained you guys for a while and fought some creatures here and there before and it seems you guys are ready except Atomic Blaze here he should be very useful to the group”.
Phoenix place the weapons on the table properly arrange them showing they are very intriguing, advanced weapons created by science and magic with supernatural elements on the weapons, Phoenix suddenly thought of something that he almost forgot to mention to the group a little information to stop them from growing stronger, he said “There are these obelisk you have to destroy, to completely stop them from growing stronger that’s the source of evil”.
The Cliff asked about the pillars Cliff said “Where are these obelisk located”.
Phoenix looked at Cliff with a little smirk and thought of the location said to Cliff “You are ready for adventure out aren’t you, don’t worry its 10 miles from here there is a small town with who knows what’s going on there, I check that Place few times and I believe it’s deserted if anything or anyone shows up on that town take this”.
Phoenix pulls out a box of some kind of purple and blue liquid in the bottles and gives it to the group “What is this?” Cliff and the others looked at it, Blaze said “What are we going to need this for, is there something you’re not telling us? is there a threat in that town you’re saying”.
Phoenix replied to Blaze “Yes, because last time I checked that town it was safe it was fortified and lots of good people trying to survive out there and suddenly I felt something strange about that town evil is there, waiting to strike in the dark then the town was deserted the next day”. Blaze said. “We have to do something, we should check that out”.
Cliff, Dave, Roxy, Vicky, give a quick glance but I didn’t pay attention to them and they looked at Phoenix and started, having some doubts and thinking about it should he let out in the world today, phoenix starts talking he said.
“Okay guys I’ve thought this through since you guys are ready to explore but I want you guys to be very careful out there, there is a lot of threats out there and I’m very sure you can handle it, and I’m very sure you’ll be able to face them no matter how hard it gets, they are tough But I’ll be guiding you, I wish you good luck in your journey. “May the Crystal Light Shine on Bright On Your Side”
The group is ready, they packed their gears and weapons to fight and explore the world and try to save everyone from this madness, phoenix called me so I stopped and turns my back and walk towards phoenix and I said “Yes Doc”.
Phoenix smiled and looked at me and was amazed by my outfit and he said “You look like you’re ready to fight and I’ve seen something in you when I was operating you but I can’t tell you what it is, and oh I almost forgot to give this to you” quickly respond “What is it”.
Phoenix Explains “A Special sword created with the blade a custom One of an elite from the underworld which I had to fight and kill for. Not like Cliff’s sword is made of out a sea creature remains I had to kill in order to save someone, which is Cliff from when it happened”.
I was invested in his story that Phoenix told to me and I took the sword before I turn my back on him to go to the front door but the others are waiting for me, Phoenix handed me the sword with a special scabbard and I read a little sentence written on the thing.
“The kingdom of salvation take me home”.
When I read that sentence on my scabbard it was interesting and very poetic. Phoenix gave me something that’s a Special kind of dose it looks like colour green substance. He said “Here this is for your powers by the way”. I questioned that thing on his hand “For my powers?” he said “Yes, when I was operating you I added something in your body, so you just inject that on the back of your neck and you’ll feel something I would say, that’ll increased your abilities to be stronger, if you ever ran out I can make more, I forgot to mention they are experts in this field and you’re new but I see something in you that you’re right for this team. And for Vicky she a vampire she was cursed by her clan and she broke that off and ran until I found her, she was the second one I found her, I helped her hunt down those who tortured her and turned her into what she is now, but that curse cannot be reversed”.
I was interested in his story about Vicky and I shake his hand and walk straight to the door. While the others are waiting for me.
As soon as I walks straight to door and close the door, phoenix recited A Spell to make this place disappear and the others turn their backs and looked at what happened it disappeared right on front of us, its gone I looked amazed by what he just saw Dave said to me “You’ll get used to seeing that”.
We started walking and seeing the world is destroyed and most of the places I see are still intact, I can see some structures and cities that are still intact but some of them are damaged in the distance, and disgusting landmarks in the distance away from the safe places, and I looked at the skies, I can see the space and with stars and colorful skies but there is the sun lighting around us while there is thunder and lightning, and the ground there are roads and lots of dirt and sand and so many Skeletons I said “A hopeless world that was once a good place to live, until the evil forces came”.
And I can see the ocean from a distance It looks dark I remember the seas was once blue crystal clear but now its dark red it looks like blood but it’s not. That’s what I see on surroundings. While walking I noticed the obelisk from the distance I said “Hey isn’t that one we have to go to”.
The group stopped for a minute Cliff said to Roxy “You’re up”.
She pulls out an eye from her hand bag, and a device to know how many miles to go, she uses magic to see what’s ahead of them, what she sees, Phoenix was right about what he saw the town is deserted. We started walking to the town we are half way there on our journey and me and Vicky started talking to each other it was slow but we are getting there, I looked at her and said “Hey thanks for helping me back there in the artefact room and bringing me to the changing room Vicky”.
While walking Vicky smiled at blaze and she said “No problem I’m always here to help”.
Blaze starts talking to her about her past he said “How did you became a vampire, how Are you able to walk into sunlight”.
That idea was always stuck in my head about vampires is that they only came out at night to avoid sunlight and this was real I’m looking at a walking vampire and she can walk into sunlight but for her it’s quite weird and yet interesting and I find her weapon so intriguing and menacing but it also looks powerful to look at, she noticed I glance at her weapon she said.
“This is from my clan after I escaped, and Phoenix found me and helped me and trained me to become better, we hunted those who tortured me and turned me into who I’m now, but there are some of them still roaming around I’ve heard rumours from phoenix that they are split into different clans that was old news, but I don’t want to get too carried away”.
I continued walking with her including the others as well then I said “It must be hard for you to deal with that, but before I had a good life once and I had this one person which she was good to me and we became friends and I wish she was still here so I can see her again, I was once a soldier But I left the army because of my health reasons, I don’t want to get carried away as well about my past, maybe one day I’ll tell you, but not now”.
She nodded and yet, she finds my story interesting and felt something that she want to have rather than what she got before. She looked forward and I observed her actions and I put my hand on her shoulder and quickly letting go of my hand on her shoulder while walking I thought of something and said to her “We can figure something out and hey don’t worry Vicky we can have some fun even when this thing is happening around us”.
She smiled back, even though I look like a cyborg but I have feelings towards her, it feels like I have some emotions still intact in me after that we just continued walking and I said to her “We’ll talk more after this is done”.
She said “Okay Blaze it’s good to talk to you”. I felt something from her while she’s walking, she hopped and walked for a quick second in a cute way, but it was cut shortly we stumbled something that is horrifying to see a pile of dead bodies rotten on the side covered with flies and slime and Dave said “We’re getting close”.
The others saw the pile of the bodies seeing the disgust and thinking who would do something like this? Everyone got to the town and it was deserted the front entrance is destroyed it’s open we stopped and looked around the trees see if anything is out there, looking at the destroyed surroundings and we prepared our weapons we pull out our swords, battle axe, maze, magic wand and the special liquid that Phoenix made for us just in case if anything happens we can use it for emergency, so we looked at the thing and put it back in our shoulder bag, and Cliff said “Let’s go”.
As we when inside the town it was destroyed and the obelisk is right on front of us not near but a couple of miles away from us, it looks like a beacon or a signal tower, I can see how it looks like, it’s describe as an old rock covered in tendrils, vines, and slime and it has some old markings and I can hear some distorted voices while the wind is blowing from the east the leaves they were moving and I hear some skittering and whispers it chills me down to my core and the group heard something around us kept on walking and then stopped again we heard a sound, quickly turning our heads to one direction on our left, turned so quickly until one attacked by surprise a possessed man jumped on to Dave got startled and fell to the ground and the others were shocked form what they just saw right on front of them, while being attacked by the possessed man he said “WE’LL TAKE YOUR SOULS”.
A voice that’s so haunting to hear and very distorted with a growl like an animal, I acted very quickly and killed the possessed man with a single blow to the head, cutting the head, the head rolled on the ground blood everywhere on Dave and on the floor, the look on his face was he was angry and scared I saved him and took his hand to stand on his feet I said “On your feet soldier”.
And the three heard something loud and they are arriving fast it was an ambush the screams and the horror it has arrived running shuffling, their movements are not normal they move very fast, aggressive they screamed “DIE”.
From the top of their lungs, when I saw that they were coming I saw the sky went dark so fast and then the fires on the town lit up. To see how many of them are, I heard them speaking an evil language saying “ullra’h keen Ša‘lech”.
And we started fighting these things mowing them down one at a time, Roxy uses magic and kills like three of them with a spell saying “Sulleh, um’keh”.
The three possessed just burst body parts everywhere. And I started slicing them with my sword one at a time, and one of them took me down and they said “This is no man, I smell flesh in him interesting let’s rip apart”.
Their actions and gestures are very quirki and yet terrifying then Vicky appeared from nowhere she swung her maze killing one of them, the other one looked at her he exclaimed and the moment is ruined for him and I grabbed him in the throat and screamed in anger and ripped his throat apart blood everywhere and the group where killing these things and they noticed what I did it was one of the most brutal thing
I ever did and Vicky was surprised from what she just saw and shakes her head just to get that idea out of her head and She lifted me up from the ground she said “You okay blaze”.
I nodded at her and they are fighting and Cliff killing few more and, Cliff got hit by a big man with one kick send him flying to a building breaking a wall so hard and revealing something, Cliff on the floor laying on top of a pile rocks and debris and bricks he hears a big footsteps approaching thump, thump. Cliff trying to get up but he was dizzy, in pain but he quickly recovered from that and he sees the big guy coming in angry, bloodthirsty look on he’s face he said in a language “Eb‘lach sha”.
Cliff looked a bit scared and stand his ground, stood up but in pain. Outside while they are fighting dodging every attacks Roxy noticed something where is Cliff? She looked around and she pushed one of the attackers and some of them with a dagger she has, and she saw Cliff with no weapon on his hand and puts his fist up against the big beast, the beast just smirk at him while Cliff is in pain and bleeding badly his golden mask was shattered half of his face was shown and Cliff standing on his ground he said to the beast “Let’s dance”.
While trying to catch some breath and the beast said “Luc’h shem”.
The beast and Cliff started fighting fist to fist, hand to hand combat Cliff striking at the beast multiple times and the beast strikes back while being injured by Cliff and Cliff taking lot of hits from the beast because the beast is twice his height and body mass, Cliff has enough of this shit while striking the beast, the beast grabbed Cliff by the throat so hard and he struggles from it and he sees Roxy coming in, and the beast said to Cliff “YOU ARE FINISHED”.
In a roaring voice, while Roxy is getting closer with his weapon she saw on the ground, Cliff said to the beast “Yeah fuck you too”.
Right behind the beast, she stabbed him while he was still holding Cliff on his hand by the throat the beast gave a blank expression changed from anger to nothing he stopped moving, Cliff’s Sword almost stabbed Cliff right on the chest. The beast’s hand started to loosen up and dropping Cliff on the floor and she rushed straight to Cliff and seeing his half of his face revealed, and picking up the golden piece from his mask, and dropping his sword beside him on the floor.
Roxy comfort him on the floor touching him if he’s fine she said “Cliff? Are you alive”. It turns out is alive Cliff pointed at something and she looked at the direction where he was pointing and sees people trapped in cages behind the wall, and seeing these poor people trapped for sacrificing. While the three are still dealing with all those possessed people outside Dave killed the last one and they looked tired and beating up covered in blood, it got quiet but we hear the thunder and lightning from the distance but it’s not over and the three of us stick together “Did we do it?.
I said that, the two looked at me and we looked at each other, and Dave asked “where is Cliff and Roxy?”
And suddenly we hear walking, shuffling behind us and sees Cliff is unconscious and being carried by Roxy, then she brought some news she said to the others “You better see this guys”.
We looked at each other and walked to the direction that has giant hole on the wall, but leaving Cliff and Roxy behind to rest. I said to the two “Alright you guys stay here, we’ll check it out”.
Roxy takes care of Cliff removing her overcoat to form a makeshift pillow for Cliff to lay down on her thigh Roxy said to Cliff “Rest here Cliff, I got you”.
While Cliff and Roxy left behind so she can keep company with cliff, I walked with the three and what we see the people being trapped in their cage including children but the people shocked by our appearance and we broke the cages locks I was disgusted by the fact that these possessed people put them in here like an animal and good thing we killed all of them, they are very dirty and damaged from what they did to them, looking around seeing lots of technology for experiments and ready for sacrifice for the deity Known as “Tolkar”, while we were looking at the place I noticed something and I said “Hey this the obelisk we have to destroy, so these people can be free from this nightmare and the skies is still dark, we have to do something Now”.
“Alright”. Said by Dave and Vicky with the prisoners talking to the little child and the others are terrified but except the little child she find’s Vicky like a good person, and Vicky said “It’s Okay Everyone you’re free to go”.
And one of the prisoners said “We have nowhere to go this is our home”. Vicky talking to them in a calm voice she said “Don’t worry everyone, they are all gone now”.
The prisoners broke in tears and in relief about that news, and hugged each other, Vicky helped all the prisoners from their cages and walked outside and seeing their home covered in blood and bodies and it’s destroyed finally seeing the outside, Cliff and Roxy looked at the people, most of the people still has some energy in them and most of them are resting and sitting down, while the three released everyone from their cages, Dave asked one of them “How do we get up there”.
Pointed at the obelisk the person said “You have to cross the river but be careful there are something lurking in the river”.
Dave said to them “Don’t worry we know what we are doing, you guys take care of this mess”. And one of them grabbed Dave and he said “Thank you all, once you come back you can help us with fix our town”.
Dave didn’t say anything and just smirked at him and nodded He said to Blaze and Vicky “Come on guys let’s finish this”.
A thought came to mind about something that Phoenix gave us, I walked to Roxy and Cliff they are under a shade where Roxy is taking care of Cliff, As I noticed Cliff is still unconscious he’s laying down on Roxy’s thighs and I was concern about him. “How is he?” Roxy looked at me quick and responded “He’s still breathing”. I nodded in a good feeling that he’ll be alright I hope, I asked Roxy “He do you have that bottle with that liquid sample that Phoenix gave us?” she said “Yeah”. She grabbed Cliff’s shoulder bag and her bag to get the bottle, I took the samples from her hand and I said “Take care of him, Thank you, you seem like a good friend”. She looked at me and gave a quick smile to me and turned back to Cliff stroking his hair and his face being half reveal while she has the broken piece of his golden mask and she placed it on his chest resting.
After she gave me the bottles I nodded that her and quickly turn back, walked with Dave, Vicky to destroy the pillars and she noticed the bottles in my hand while I’m putting it in my shoulder bag I said “Just in case”.
After the town is secure and we left Roxy and Cliff behind, we journeyed toward the pillar from the distance, which is a bit far from the town but we’ll make it, we keep an eye on our surroundings if there was more of those bastards waiting to strike. And it turns out there is none of them and we were half way there to the pillar but we stopped first Dave tap me in the chest he turn to me and I stopped and he said to me “I haven’t thank you Blaze, for saving me back there”. He exhaled and looked at me, scanning me and I can tell from his look and his gestures how he pose, he said “Phoenix was right about you, you’re needed in the group but maybe after this I can train you Blaze, to become better and I noticed what you did back there you fought good but there is more you should learn, what do you say to that blaze?” I walked back a bit and I was overwhelmed by what he said to me I took it as an Honour I quickly answered to his question “Yes that would be a great opportunity, Dave”. I shook his hand, we nodded each other and we let go while we talked a bit Vicky was just sitting on a rock and listening to us and staring at us we stared at her, she smiled at me and Dave.
“Well let’s finish this one, shall we gentlemen”.
We Reached to the crossing River, Dave sees it “There it is guys, we should be careful, we looked at river, it’s covered in marsh, and bunch of tree logs on some parts of the water, we looked around to see If there is another path to that obelisk, I saw Vicky walking to another direction she noticed a part leading up there but it turns out she face palmed herself she said “I knew it, they destroyed this path and made this river like a playground for the people for a sick entertainment”.
I saw the bodies half eaten, and skeletons laying in the river, I was disgusted by what they did here, and pissed off damn bastards.
We regroup looking at the river, Dave said “Well what are we going to do now?” me and Vicky looked at each other thinking, how are we going to cross the other side. I widen my eyes and thought of something said “I’ll do it”.
The two on my sides looked at me said “Blaze you’re crazy, who knows what’s lurking in the river, it could kill you”.
And Dave said “If you cross now, you’ll die, believe me”.
I looked at the two I shrugged it off to their words “It will be fine, there is no other choice, would you rather go for a longer path and ignore this or cross this damn river with something lurking in the water in the river, there is no other choice guys”.
Vicky and Dave were bothered by my decision and annoyed, they are thinking but no other choice, so they said “Alright have it your way, Blaze and one more thing… Are you waterproof? I haven’t thought that through I said to Vicky “Well… I’ll give it a try”. As soon as I put my foot on the water slowly, feeling the water touching my leg and I put my entire body in the water while eyes close and I’m in the water and I opened my eyes I’m half deep in the river, I said to the two “Hey I’m in the wa..” Instantly cut off by the river monster it grabbed me, shaking me, rocking me back in forth I scream in anger and calling for help “Do something, for fuck sake”.
Dave and Vicky jumped in the river trying to save me but they got hit by the tail of the monster but Dave recovered quickly and yelling at the creature and cursing at it and he jumped into the air with his glowing axe cutting the tail.
And Vicky cutting the monster’s belly, and the monster threw me up in the air and I saw it’s mouth open and lots of sharp teeth and two or three tentacles grabbed me I said “OH SHI…”, I was inside the monster’s belly and it felt like it was swimming fast but I can hear Dave and Vicky outside shouting my name.
I thought of something suddenly, the doses that Doc Phoenix gave me, I inject it on the back of my neck and I felt like powerful and pure rage I screamed and my head burst into flames colour green, I punched the monster’s stomach, and ripping out the intestine and I shoot out a bright glow inside the monster and it burst and exploded.
And I was freed and I was laying inside the monster’s belly but it’s exposed and it dead now, I tilt my head looking at my left and seeing I was far away and I can see they trying to catch up in the river and good thing the body of the beast stopped at a stack of big rocks. I saw the two on front of me, and in relief I was okay I said “See it wasn’t bad, and Vicky to your question… Yes I’m waterproof”. I sigh in relief about myself, Thank you Doc Phoenix.
The two laugh and I saw her almost teared up but she was happy, I was alright and Dave said “It smells like shit”.
I said “Yeah you’re right, get me off this thing”.
The two helped me get off the thing. And we started walking back on land I’m covered in filth, we went to the other side of the river spot and continued our journey to destroy the obelisk and I said “Enough of this, let’s go”.
We walked faster to end this.
It was up a hill with tall grass and there are trees on our path, we are walking in the forest where the Obelisk is.
And finally we arrived at the obelisk and I was disgusted by how it looks, it looked like it was moving it’s like there is a pulse, I can hear the distorted voices coming from the obelisk and I’m guessing the voices are from the people that were being sacrificed by a deity, this cruelty of madness I saw Dave’s face shifted to anger and Vicky as well.
Suddenly we a familiar voice behind us and he said “This is the obelisk of sacrifice were all their souls goes to”.
We looked at it and Vicky said “How do we free them, if they are trapped in there?” Phoenix Explained “I can free them, using my powers and that special liquid I made for you guys just in case for emergency”.
Phoenix looked around with a little concern he said “Where is Cliff and Roxy? By the way”.
I replied to his question “Cliff is unconscious, he’s being taken care by Roxy back at the town and he’s still breathing”.
Phoenix said “Alright let’s finish this one and use the liquid on the obelisk”.
I pull out the special liquid in the bottles and I asked “What is this for exactly for Doc?”
He said “It some explosive liquid I made for this one it will melt it”. I was amazed by his ingenuity phoenix, a thought came to mind about his ingenuity “Have you test it already?” He looked at me with a smirk, looked at the obelisk, and then gave us hand gestures to tell us to go behind the rocks for cover, and I hear his chanting and bright and fiery lights and I peeked behind the rocks, saw the souls came out of the obelisk they are being released from their suffering.
After that It got dark, we stood up behind the rocks saw that Phoenix is glowing from that and we were stunned by his appearance and yet he saved those poor souls. And slowly his appearance slowly coming back to normal he said “Now it’s your turn place those bottles on the obelisk”.
We walked forward towards him, to talk to him “Are you okay Doc?” He said “I’m fine guys it’s been awhile I’ve done that, now I want you guys to place those samples on the obelisk, and I’ll check on Roxy and Cliff back at the town”.
Dave said “Alright, Phoenix will do”. As he disappeared into thin air when I turned my back to say something to him but he’s gone, I think he’s down there in the town, suddenly Dave said “Alright it’s settled now around the obelisk, Alright Blaze start it up”.
I said “Alright guys stand back, away from me, I don’t want you guys to get hurt”. As I was about to inject the dose on the back of my neck suddenly….”Be Careful, Blaze”. Said by Vicky, I said to her “I will, Vick you two stand back now” I inject the dose on my neck, I glow into green flames and in pure rage, I blast the obelisk and destroying the structure completely with the special explosive sample that Phoenix made for this trip, it works looked around me, it was colourful magenta, purple, orange, flames coming out from it, and it felt good releasing all that anger.
And I stopped stared at the obelisk completely destroyed but still standing, until I heard fast footsteps approaching behind me and its Dave he swung his Axe destroying the obelisk, it shattered into pieces then it started steaming and bubbles started appearing for the broken pieces of the obelisk, it started sinking into the ground, it was satisfying to see the obelisk being destroyed right on front of us, looking at the skies, seeing it’s not dark anymore it’s day time.
We celebrated me, Vicky, Dave. From this situation I hugged Vicky and letting go of her and hugged Dave as well. We walked back into town and we saw all the people happy and cheering at us, and we did something here today. I was in relief about this and Vicky as well I can see it in her eyes that the people here are free from this madness.
They approached us saying “Thank you”. The two on my right were happy to see, the people laughing and cheering and hugging.
I walked away from the crowd to look for Cliff and Roxy I see the two, walked towards them I said “Hey guys, you’re okay”. I hugged the two and grabbed the shoulders of the two and I said “We did it guys, we saved this town and thanks to you Cliff, you found the people of this town behind the wall I’m proud of you man and it’s great to see you you’re healed up”.
He removed my hand from his shoulder quickly he said “I’m feeling good actually, Thanks to Phoenix he revived me and I was staring at Roxy, when I woke up I was laying on her thighs with her overcoat under a shade with her”.
She looked at Cliff and bit her lip and smiled at him with that awesome make up of hers, she said “I’m going to check the others”.
We said “Alright Roxy, yeah have fun Roxy”. I pointed behind her back as she leaves under a shade and teasing Cliff while looking at cliff as I raised my left eye, he said “Don’t you dare, man”. I laughed as she left I said “Alright Cliff”. Raising both my hands on the air, as a joke I’m just standing there while cliff walks away to check the others as well and before he was going to check on the others he said “Hey, Blaze”. I turned to my right crossing my arms together and looking at him, I said “Yes Cliff”. I saw him exhaled and thinking of what to say to me, then he started walking back to me and talked to me he said “Hey I’m sorry about what happened back in the artefact room, I didn’t mean to make fun of you back there, it was…” He looked at the left, one hand on the hip and while pointing at me thinking of what to say next, I interrupt him putting my hand on his shoulder.
I said “It’s okay man, I understand what you’re saying Cliff, you’re a good guy and strong warrior and I’m glad to see you still standing, that’s what matters to me and the group, that you’re alive and Roxy Helped you from killing the beast that almost killed you”.
He looked at me into my yellow eyes, he nodded at me, putting his hand on my hand on his shoulder letting go, but I was cool with it and he said “You’re right, but hey Atomic Blaze, we’ll be able to get to know each other very well”. He raise his hand and we shake hands. I said “Let’s check the others… Shall we”. As I lead him with my hand but I can tell from his look that.
We were walking to the three members of the group greeted us, while I’m with Cliff and they were happy and enjoying with the people of this town. I looked around my surroundings I noticed they are regular people with some unique features on their bodies, but they looked thin and hungry but some of them have some strength. But I was feeling like mixed emotions about this, I’m happy and sad at the same time thinking of these people and ending this nightmare. I sat down on a bench of the town, just looking at the children running laughing, smiling as I sat down my one leg started moving from being nervous from something, I noticed a shadow on front of me as I stopped my leg from moving I looked up and it’s a little boy Offering me A little souvenir I said “Hey there kid, what’s this?” The kid said “It’s a little device I have with me for a while”. Such nice boy he is, I looked at him as he scan me with his eyes and looking at the device he gave me, I figure it out how to open it, turns out it’s a hologram of a fighter from the old world and what it says on the device is a “Hendrix” I was amazed by it, I looked back at the kid as I rub his shoulder and said “Thank you kid….This is pretty awesome I’ll keep this”.
The kid smiled at me, I switched off the device and put it in my bag the boy started asking my name he said “What’s your name red?” as I’m done putting it in my bag I answered his question “Well my name is Atomic Blaze, what’s yours?” he answered “My name is Derek”. I nodded at him and I gave him a fist bump. “Thank you Derek for this lovely gift, you should go back to you mother”.
The boy smiled and walked away, I noticed Vicky was standing there with her arms crossed and smiled at me, giggled a bit I looked away from her and looked back, she is something this girl, I waved at her and she waved back at me with a quick smile, then looked away and walk back in the crowd of people I sat here just being quiet as I hear people talking, cheering which is something we succeed here today.
I got up from the bench and put my hands in my pockets as I walked, the people looked at me and tap me in the shoulders greeting me as I greet them back, nodded as I looked for my friends and finally I saw them it seems like they are discussing about something.
As I walk towards my friends.
Roxy saw me and she said “Good you’re here Blaze” I said “What’s this about?” Dave cuts in “We are planning to restore and fix this town Blaze”.
I was thinking something like that when I saw the people of this town, I saw their gaze and I sigh, and thinking about it “Alright I was thinking of bringing some food and supplies for the people, and other resources they need”. Dave said “Alright that sounds like a good plan Blaze start on that, and be careful”. I suddenly hear Vicky “Wait I’ll go with him on this one”.
Dave said “Okay that’s good Vick stick together we’ll short out this town”. She went with me to look for food and supplies for the people, and we looked around for a wagon, luckily there was two big wagons but no horses in this town and we looked at each other nodded and she smiled and we venture the gates as we passed by our friends “We’ll help you rebuild your home and fortify and make it stronger, and safer for you and your families”. Then people said “You heard the man, we should work together”.
While we stopped on our tracks we were listening to Dave and his speech and the people started clapping and most of them are walking away for gathering materials, but before we leave Dave called us “Guys… Hold up”.
We turn our backs to see him he said “I forgot to give you this Vicky” he gave her some useful tools for fixing the electrical equipment on this place and he turned to me and gave me some carpentry tools and some ropes as well, for fixing the electrical as well. “Mhm.. alright I can help her with that”. Dave noticed that we don’t have a horse for carrying supplies, and food for the people he asked “You guys don’t have a horse” and I said “Well there is no horses in this town, Dave… we’ll probably find some outside the gates”.
He nodded and leaned back a bit as he is fixing himself, and he saluted at us “Alright guys be careful out there”.
We put our materials on the back of our wagons and I took off my jacket to reveal my mechanical arms as I lift the wagon and I turned to my left to see Vicky as well doing the same thing as I did, revealing her muscles as my eyes widen from what I see from her and she tied her hair and in preparation she nodded at me as she said “Ready Red”.
I raised my left eye to her I was amazed by her she can lift something heavy, and she heard that from the boy I was talking to and she said Red? but it didn’t matter it sounds cool, I just scoff about it and I said to her “Yeah I’m Ready”. We venture out the gates and the people are on watch on the front gates of this town and they put some makeshift barricade to protect this town.
We are on the road and looking for landmarks for hours while we were pulling the wagons and out of nowhere Vicky.
Said “Blaze look over there, over the plains there’s horses I turned it was on our right and I let go of the wagon I looked at her she smiled, I thought there are no animals left in this world but there is, I guess I turned to Vicky I said to her “We should get one of the horses and bring back the horses for transporting”. She rub her head from the sweat and gave a thumbs up to me. “Yeah let’s do it”. We left the wagons on the side of the plains, were we can see it from our sights as we got closer to the horses, I was amazed by the horses running around the field like that and whining sounds and the farrier hitting the ground as they ran we just watched the beautiful creatures, we just stared at the horses for a minutes, but we didn’t want to waste time here and we have to get these horses for transport, I walked towards one of the horses they were shy and afraid of me and I was being friendly to one of the creatures but they ran away from me, so I just stand there.
But I hear Vicky giggled behind me and she bump me while she bit her lip and she said “Watch!” While I was standing there, she approach one horse a stallion he started whining, groaning as she got closer to the horse. I walked a little forward to see what was happening, I hear whisper from her voice, she was whispering to the stallion sounded like foreign language but it sounded old, and suddenly the horse is in command to her, I stand there like a statue and I was astounded by what she did.
And she gave me the stallion, I want to ask her but she seem to enjoy what she was doing, and she started singing a song in a pretty voice, I turn back at the stallion as I pet it I said to the horse “You’re lucky, thanks to her” the horse groan, and bowed down to me, I rubbed the horse’s head while she continued to sing she got like five horses already.
She breathed in and out in joy she said “There, got five Horses right here and one’s with you, Red”. She smiled with those fangs of hers showing while there is daylight and she doesn’t get burned and the light shining on her is a beauty, with her messy, tied up and her skin shines from the sunlight, as she puts her hands on both hips with the horses on both sides, they are under her control my thoughts switched back to reality.
I said “Uhh..Yeah I got the horse here, umm.. Should we get going since we go the horses” she wipe her sweat away and she said “Yeah”. As we turn around to go back to the wagons good thing Dave Gave Us ropes so we can use it for the horses it’s very useful, we tied the horses on front of our wagons.
We are back on track as I looked at her and moved forward I felt like she looked at me as I led the way, as we are on the road while there is still daylight but the skies are still the same I can see the space, the stars as we hear the thunder and lightning on the distance, we kept on looking for supplies and other things that are very useful. Until I saw an abandon farmhouse it’s huge. We stopped I told Vicky “Alright, stay here keep an eye on the horses, I’ll check around if it’s safe”. She nodded and prepared her weapon as she stands up from her wagon, and jump down and keep watch, guarding scanning her surroundings as looked around the property, it seems to be safe, I walked into the abandoned farmhouse it’s old and lots of vines, and plant has grown around it but the entrance to the farmhouse is huge damaged, so I went inside it was dark but I can see in the dark, it’s pretty much abandoned, lots of furniture covered in mould, dust, wet, as I looked around to check I see something that caught my eyes A jewellery a necklace, still in good shape I examine it and scoffed and nodded at it I said to myself “I’ll be damned” it’s pretty I think Vicky will like this one, I put it in my bag and kept looking around the interior, I stepped on the wooden floor, it creaked and It snapped below me I fell unexpectedly crashing hard lots of wooden pieces fell on top of me and some debris fell on me “Oh Fuck.. Shit, damn that was high”.
My vision is covered in dust with water dripping on me this place is falling apart, I heard footsteps rushing in on top of me I looked up its Vicky “Hey Vicky…” I waved at her. She said “Good gracious, are you alright, I came as fast as I could”.
Looked back at her “I’m fine Vick, is the area secure” she said “Yeah!” I said “Alright bring the wagons a bit closer to this place, and be careful this place is falling apart”.
She nodded back and left. As I look around my surroundings I was looking for something to see properly since vision is unclear, from all this dirt and I stumbled into a lantern, luckily there were matches on front of me and I lit up the lantern I was amazed by what I saw a whole supplies of food in boxes, barrels of rum I would say and not just that, I see a weapons caches and looked inside this is very useful for the people of the town, I closed it and I tap at the weapons cache.
I hear footsteps approaching its Vicky again she was amazed what I found this secret room hidden beneath the old farmhouse I looked at her and pointing at this stash she said “Perfect”.
Good thing there is a ladder in this room I passed all the supplies to Vicky good thing I’m not tired I passed the barrels to Vicky and she was strong.
And I carried some small food boxes with me and put all the stuff on the wagon and she went down to help, as we are done grabbing all the things we needed we scream in happiness and hugged each other as we got close she looked at me with her eyes, she smiled as I wipe her hair from her forehead she rubbed my head and she lean back while we are holding hands she said “Let’s get these things back home”. I replied to her “Alright, Vicky let’s go home”. We hopped on our wagons and, ride back to town as we noticed it’s almost sundown, and good thing there is no threat around us. While riding back she sang another song, just to make the journey more, light and calm, the horses seem to like the voice she has while the winds are blowing from every directions it’s perfect, we are half way there to home.
And she noticed the power for the area that was connected to the town we stopped our wagons and she hopped out her wagon, and gather her tools for fixing the electricity, as I was keeping an eye on her she was amazed by the damaged and it was not a problem to her, she can sort it out with the proper tools that Dave gave her the right tools, while she took her time I was keeping an eye on the horses and the supplies as well and I hear sparks, zips while she was fixing it and the machine started running, my widen from her talent, and closed the door to the electrical machine, as she dust off her hands and smiled and winked at me, she said “All Finished”.
I helped her hop back on her wagon, I walked back at my wagon I scoffed in amazement I led us back to town and we see lights and the people on the gates see us one of them said “HEY… THEY’RE BACK, WITH LOTS OF THINGS ON THE WAGONS AND THEY HAVE HORSES”.
As we approached on the front gates it turns out the places is getting better I see our friends still cleaning and rebuilding the homes.
As the people cheered at us we hopped out our wagons and I told them “Alright everyone this for you here help me out and help out our lovely Vicky with all that food”. The people help us carry and lift the weapons cache out the wagons and the three were busy and I nodded at them, I hopped out the wagon and bring the horses on the stable of this town, and I carried the carpentry materials with me to work on the gates with extra hands as well, we worked on the gates reinforcing the gates with metal materials, making it heavy duty while working I went back inside and get more materials.
As I noticed the giant hole, Roxy Used her magic destroying it completely no traces left, and Dave helping the people rebuilding their homes, while Cliff is helping getting rid of the bodies and burning them, Vicky helping the people fight, and defend themselves.
I went back fixing the gates with the people it’s been hours already and the people were tired I stayed back I told them “Alright you guys, have your celebration while I finished this one” they dropped their tools and I was left alone fixing and I’m half way done fixing it I looked to see what was happening, they are happy while I’m here just finishing up this gate. I stopped and I was satisfied by how it looks, went back inside the town, I love hearing them sing and dance, and talk and drink and eat.
It felt like they are free from this nightmare. I wondered into the forest and found the perfect spot to look at the town. I sat down on the ground looking down at them I giggled to myself, in joy suddenly it was cut off by rustling behind me I turned it was Vicky. She said “Hey Red, why are you not down there having fun, and great job on the gates by the way, Roxy will put a protective magic on this area tonight while everybody is having fun”. While she was talking I was enjoying her voice and the whole day with her it was interesting. I asked her “how did you make them under control like that”. She was facing forward looking at the night skies while there are lights down there, she looked at me said “My Old Clan she thought me that, it’s an Old language, she was the only kind person on the clan and treated me like her own daughter, and she didn’t age a bit too”. She was telling me the story she playing the dirt, I sat there listening to her story she continued she said “I was lured by those people and turn me into who I'm now, they treat me like no one, like I’m nobody until one day she stopped one of the bastards from torturing me, the look she gave them was scary a look you don’t want to know but she untied me and took me with her, and she helped me, the whole years and the leader was very jealous of her and me I’m always beside her, like one can touch us and they respected me and her all the way..”. I was sitting there listening to her and suddenly she stops, I noticed she started shaking, and she puts her hand covering her face as she started tearing up, I lean towards her I said “Hey, hey, hey.. Vicky what’s wrong, shh... it’s Okay”. She broke down in tears, she grabbed me hard and looked at me.
She said “They killed Her, Blaze cold blooded, the person I think of, she is like a mother to me”. I was shocked and sadness and I asked about “What did they do to her Vicky?” She continued to cry about it and she said “They tortured her to death right on front of me I was very angry and broken from what they did to her I fought off as she told me to run, don’t look back, I ran, as fast as I could and hidden myself until a man came out of nowhere and took me in, that was Phoenix”.
She was on my arms as I hugged her to comfort her and, she sniff her own snot, as she looked at me as I stared at her blood red eyes as we stared at each other with my yellow eyes this time, I wipe her tears away and I asked her “What’s her name if you don’t mind asking Vicky?” She told me the name “Lady Ambriosia”.
I nodded to the name, as I held her on my arms she stopped shaking, there is more from this story of hers and I don’t want to ask her more about it, probably next time and she was in pain when she told me her story it was heartbreaking to hear losing someone like that with no remorse they committed. And my thoughts changed to a different one, and I said to her “We did something here today didn’t we Vicky, we saved a bunch of people from this horror”.
She lean on me, wiping her tears away and she said “Yeah we did something here today, and I must say it was fun bringing those food and supplies you found”. Suddenly the mood changes as we talked about it, I find her attractive when she stretch her body like that as she stands up, suddenly a thought came to mind about something. “Oh Vicky I found something you might like back in that old farmhouse, wait I got it here in my bag… um close your eyes for me, Vicky will you”.
She goes along what I’m saying to her, she smiled and giggled a bit, and I told her to turn around while her eyes are closed, as I pull the necklace out of my bag and I went around her and put it on, she gasped her chest expand from what she was feeling a necklace wrapped around her neck and she opened her eyes revealing it’s beautiful on her, she turn to me playing with the little present I gave her and bit her lip stared at me and in amazement she lean towards me hugged me and kissed me on the cheeks and lay on top me, I feel her body on my chest it’s a new thing but I didn’t expect this feeling towards her and she said “Thank you Red, this is the most prettiest thing you’ve ever found and I’m very lucky that I found you Red, and thank you for being here with me and listening to my story”.
I rub her back and hugging her gently while she was on top of me I said “I told you we would do something fun together”. She looked at me and smiled as I rub her hair and she fell asleep and I looked up the skies, and thinking of her story about Lady Ambriosia.
It was horrible, I can tell from her pain she must’ve have kept it with her for a long time, I have a strange feeling about it like she said before, there could be others out there, probably? I’ll help her settle the score with her old clan, I need to know more of her when the time is right.
